MobLogic: DNC: Is U.S. Ready for a Black President?

  • andyswan · 1 year ago
With no Democrat winning over 50% of the vote for the past 32 years.....and only Governors from the South having any Dem success in the last 50....I think it's pretty tough to say that if a liberal Dem Senator from the North doesn't win, it's because of any one variable....

Looking forward to the MobLogic "Is America ready for a female Vice President?"

Using the logic above, if McCain/Palin loses, it shows that America is sexist.

So....racist, or sexist? Which will it be?

p.s. Palin is pretty awesome...gonna be tough for Biden to go "attack dog" on her in the debates....and even tougher for Obama campaign to find soundbites of her being negative about McCain like he has on Obama......good choice!

Great choice on part of McCain. And timing could not have been better, as this steals the spotlight from the Dems going into a long weekend.

Obama got absolutely no movement in the polls following his announcement for VP. Will be interesting to see what happens following McCain's announcement.

Great vlog, Adam. I'm one of those Obama supporters who just can't imagine why anyone else can't see how perfect he is for this country at this time in history- even guys I can respect like Andy Swan who can intelligently explain their positions. But, even with Andy's stats above, I truly feel that if Obama doesn't win it will absolutely be for one reason - his race (with a little religious conservatism icing on top). I'm terrified already that he may not win ... although living in Canada will be nice if he doesn't. It's really pretty there and the economy is better.

Palin is a disaster for McCain- campaign suicide. Women who'd like to see a woman in the White House CAN TELL TWO WOMEN APART- something that McCain and GOP can't do.
    SHAME ON THEM.

Don't blame McCain: he just had a senior moment.

Is U.S. Ready for a Black President?
    No
Is U.S. (14% more richest) Ready for a Black President?
    no

Remember who chose the president in 2000?

I read the speech of Obama, and I think america´s people is not ready for these. I like Obama rescue ancent values of america, but the reality is other.

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."
Letter to Colonel Charles Yancey (January 6, 1816)

Palin is a poor choice. As a mother, I cannot believe that she has chosen to run for a 24-7 job (especially if the 72 year old succumbs) with five children, and an infant with special needs. It shows me that her priorities are VERY different from mine. And what are conservatives saying about "family values"?
  • Louise D. · 1 year ago
Palin is not Hillary. Being only a heartbeat away from the presidency, she is a poor choice as V.P. A mother of young children sounds like a good TV plot. Oh wait! they already tried that. Our first female president should not be a former beauty queen young mother but someone experienced in WORLD politics. This senior citizen female voter will not vote for McCain just because he has a woman veep.

Adam Elend, you seem kinda racist...

Obama doesn't exceed your expectations for a presidential candidate in this country?? Fuck man, what planet are you from? Obama's whole perspective makes him such a better candidate than anything we've seen yet.

I don't know where you stand on all this, but there is SO MUCH that's SO FUCKED UP about this world we live in, and THE WHOLE WORLD WANTS OBAMA because he's the ONLY CHANCE WE'RE GOING TO GET TO STOP FUCKING UP OUR WORLD BEFORE WE ALL DIE ... OBAMA DOESN'T WANT TO FUCK THE WORLD LIKE THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT DOES... COLONIZATION 2.0

no seriously... that's what it feels like sometimes

i'm not american, and i never visit your country. I really don't know if you, as a society, are prepared for a black president. But, there is a very important thing. In Spain, like a lot of european countries, we prefer Obama. And here are a lot of prepotent people that things America is not prepared, telling without using words that we are more tolerant than you. But the reality is that in US, you have a black candidate. And i never see in Spain a black one, or moroccos or latin one neither.
I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, and with all your incongruences, you continues being the leaders in freedom.

Thanks! (and sorry for my english)
